Would not make this ride again. Most of it is a very ruff dirt road. There are only 4 run down buildings to the ghost town. Of which you can only go in one of the churches. The rest are vine covered and falling in. The town is mainly hunting cabins.

Since I like riding on paved roads, I would not recommend this trip. We were passed by numerous dump trucks on a dirt, wash-board, road who were hauling dirt out of a pit in Rodney. We stopped at the Old Country Store Restaurant in Lorman but I would not categorize the food as "superb". It was good southern-fried chicken but the sides were below average for my taste. I would go there again but would not make a special trip.

In Lorman is a stop worth taking on Hwy 61, it is the Old Country Store restaurant. It has been showcased in Southern Living and by the Atlanta motorcycle chef looking for Aspahalt Food. Fantastic fried chicken buffet and most reasonable. Many bikers stop here. It is only 3 buildings on the right heading South after the Alcorn exit. Superb. 5 * food!
