This is the most beautiful ride, outside of Colorado, I have done. The only reason it is not a ten is because Copper Harbor it's self has no cell signal and one limited houred gas station. Other than that it was perfect. I would just recommend not to hurry it is way to beautiful to waste. We did it September 11th weekend 2010 great weather and the leaves where already changing.

This was my first group ride. It was fantastic ! It was just as the leaves were turning. Scenery was spectacular, views were awesome and the roads were nice. There's a portion of the ride that reminded me of being on a roller coaster. 5-20 ft rises and declines, lefts and rights, some took my breath away. The views from above the shoreline are breath taking. A MUST to take the camera. I am planning another ride w/friends this summer

I went to MTU, this stretch is one of the most for roads to ride or drive. The 'best' route is to go north up 41 (starts getting good 11 miles from copper harbor when the speed limit goes from 55 to 45). The best stretch though by far is 26 west out of copper harbor to eagle river. Speed limit is 55, which you CANNOT maintain, and there is even a spot that you'll get a tire of the ground if you do 65. It's a ton of fun, and typically very little traffic (except for tourist season).

This was a very nice route. The scenery was great and the roads fun especially MI 26 by Eagle Harbor. Had fun chasing a Camaro SS through the curves. Copper Harbor is too touristy but the ride there was great.

Harbor rides are the best rides in the UP. Truly breathtaking moments through every curve and lake view up there! Make sure to check out the views from Brockway Mountain if visiting!

I've ridden most of the great roads and it really doesn't compare. The good thing about the U P is that there are a lot of pretty good roads but nothing I would call outstanding. We rode 2000 miles of Michigan roads, 4 days in the U P alone. I will admit there is alot to see, Lighthouses are really cool. Roads some good some bad.

Great ride. Went in the mid September, little cool but a great ride. The ride to Copper Harbor had a canopy like ride with the trees over the road. The leaves were changing and it was beautiful. Had a great german reasturant in Copper Harbor right on the shore, great view and even better food and beer. Would recomend this ride, love to go again.

Took this tour in July, 2017. Plan to repeat it this fall when the colors are at their peak. The summer trip was enjoyable and not too hot. Riding up Mt Brockway was a blast on a smaller bike. Most roadside attractions cater to tourists: items might be a little more expensive than elsewhere, but not excessive. M26 has a lot to offer, vista-wise. The Ukrainian Orthodox Monastery's bakery is a favorite attraction. Treat yourself to a wide selection of baked goods. Even during the peak of tourist season, traffic wasn't bad and most motorists were courteous. Highly recommend this trip if you're in the U.P.

highway 41 is a canopy of tree and then take the Michigan 26 for a nice costal ride. The German restaurant has a great trout omelet. I will again be riding this area next year as part of the Lake Superior Circle Tour.

Route 26 from or to Copper Harbor is beautiful, several places to stop along the water and take pictures. Beautiful copper colored rocks in and out of the water. Really nice mixture of woods and water on this road, which runs back into 41 on way back to Houghton.

Nice little ride. Make sure you stop at the monk run bakery right on the lake for the best blueberry muffin ever!

I rode this route in my Lake Superior Circle Tour in 2014. It was rainy and foggy day, but still I enjoyed it a lot.
Nice scenery, Lots of curves.
