Try this:head West when you get to KY22. Take it to Falmouth where it joins KY27 and goes North for a couple of miles, then branches off to the West again. At that point, it's recently paved and continues to I-75. Instead of taking the slab back home (to Cincy and points North) I like to double back on it to KY27. Then take 27 North to 17 and take it North to I-275. This is one of the best! Trust me; I've looked! And it's the best riding within an hour of Cincy/Dayton I've found.

I started at the west end where US-27 intersects SR-10 in Alexandria. When I made that left turn, the landscape instantly changed from busy commercial strip to mid-century rural, heightening my expectations. The rest of the ride did not disappoint.

The road itself is hundreds of curves punctuated by mostly short straightaways, winding through low-rolling hills. Visibility around curves is generally good, as the landscape is open farm country with few trees. The pavement is mostly in very good condition, though I had to be alert for fields of dried mud scattered by farm machines. I am a fairly new rider, in that novice-gaining-confidence phase, and I found the challenge level perfect for where I am, taking the curves not crazy fast but just with enthusiasm.

I loved the road, I followed the suggestion on this page and it was 150 miles round trip for me. Very beautiful roads, I went through the AA highway till Maysville and then came back to blue ash on the OH52. I started in the evening at 5 pm and came back home by 9:30pm. With rest room breaks and a couple of snack breaks. No heavy traffic. Enjoy this ride if you live in this area.

I've been ridding on this route ever since I got my first bike in 1995. The curves are easy to moderate with little gravel. Once you get to Maysville cross the river and take an easy scenic ride on trip on Ohio Rt. 52 to the dam and back to Cincinnati which is just north of the start.

did 10 and 22 on a Saturday and it was great. 22 has a lot of turns and the rolling hills and small lakes was every where you look. the road is in pretty good shape but make sure to watch out for some gravel in the road. i will being doing this one again because of all the turns and the scenery is just beautiful and you are in the hills of Kentucky.

this is one of the best rides, no stop signs, lights, or local law enforcement. More turns than you can think of, I ride 2 - 3 times a month. Once you learn the blind curves you can take it quickly if you choose to do so. I recommend you start in alexandria and move southe west to 22 and take that to finish out your trip

Great route posted by TBill, just ran it today and it was tons of fun. Route 10 was nice, but the road was in bad condition in spots. 22 was perfect with lots of nice curves.

I have rode Rt 10 from Alexandria to Maysville, Ky many times and live right off of Rt 10. There are packs of sport bikes that ride this road on Sundays so I would avoid it on that day of the week if at all possible. Also, some of the locals on four wheels drive this road too fast, so please be alert.

Pretty good ride through the country. Enjoyed the scenery, and old buildings along the way. Plenty of gas stops in Cold Spring, Maysville, and a few others along the way.

Very scenic ride through country living with gentle rolling hills. But don't be fooled, this is a technical road with alot of twisties. Rolling, sweeping twisties combined with really tight sub 25mph curves can easily surprise less experienced riders.

It's pretty much one curve after another, not much to see other than farmland. Between Maysville and Brooksville cows had gotten out, were not on the road... yet. When we went past one was on the shoulder, few in the ditch, three more were running out of the gate. We pulled off and called 911. Anyhow... it was fairly nice laid back Sunday morning ride, pavement was decent.
