I have made this ride a number of times. The road between Pryy and Mayo is infested with semi trailers hauling logs. Use extreme caution when riding around these guys. They are notoriuoslly unsafe.

Actually 27 continues south from High Springs to Ocala. Turning on 326 south of Williston is also a nice ride, so don't end the ride at high springs. Eat at Floyd's Diner while you are there. I believe the author was refering to 441 running into Gainesvile . The trip to Ocala takes about an extra hour.

Not trying to be rude but the title of this ride should be changed to reflect the ride's location. This is not a Merritt Island to New Smyrna
ride. It is in western Florida a very beautiful section of the state. Thank for the posting and hard "work" .
