Ride starts off fairly pedestrian but quickly adds twists and turns with elevation gains up to 4000ft. The landscape was green which accentuated the rolling hills and valleys. You will pass through several small towns which tempts you to stop with the smell of grilled flesh.

Great ride. We went all the way down the 8 and then back toward San Diego on the 94. Plenty of curves and things to see. I went in December and it was pretty warm for the most part and plenty of good food at the Barret Junction Cafe, I would refer anyone in the are to this ride and restaurant.

Awesome road, very dangerous once you get to the cliffs, take it easy if you don't know the roads yet. Better to take it slow, then end up at the bottom of the cliffs, especially at the final stretch at Barret Junction.. Be very mindful of your positioning there. Other than that, GREAT sightseeing, lots of contrasting greenery, colorful cliffs, elevated hills and lots of variety in the road.
WARNING: Do be mindful of the potholes, they are there. Ride fun, Ride safe gentleman

A buddy of mine introduced me to 94 on a trip out west. I rented a gixxer and it was worth it. Roller coaster twisties, great pavement, and not a lot of cars made for a fast and fun ride.

This was a GREAT ride. My first inside of San Diego as I just got my bike finally. It was a WONDERFUL ride. Pretty easy with lots of twisties and the road conditions were amazingly excellent. Stopped right before Campo at a old museum alongside the road...was an old general store from 1890. $2 gets you in to see it..nice little stop.

This was the first road I EVER rode on. And now, four years and thousands of miles of riding experience, it still keeps me entertained. The road is great for sportbikes, sport-tourers or cruisers. There are a few spurs off the road that are also very fun for a quick zip... Sunrise Highway through the Laguna Mtn area into the town of Julian is a particular favorite.

I ride the 94 at least once a month and it's always a blast. There are a few good spots to eat and always a ton of other riders out having a good time.

Nice rural two lane road with decent curvy pavement, fair scenery and hills. Can be crowded on weekends.

Just got back from this one. I started in Otay Lakes and had a blast. There was hardly anyone one the road and conditions were great. I went out to Boulevard thinking I was going to take the 8 back but ended up turning around and taking the same route home because it was so much fun. This is a decent road for beginners and there is lots of nature to see along the way. This is probably my favorite ride so far. Turns are well marked and traffic is pretty light. I will be back for this one.

On a run to San Diego from Yuma decided to take the 94 on a Saturday afternoon. Traffic was heavy at points but was still flowing at a decent pace. Weather was clear and sunny but a bit chilly being late October.
