Highway 62 is a good ride but there are many much better just a stones throw off of highway 62. Be aware of LEO's and mind the speeds on turns.
The map makes note of a crackdown in Eureka on loud pipes. The police are now carrying decibel meters. If you drive on Spring Street and rap your pipes you will be ticketed. Ride as quietly as your bike permits.

Rode June 2020. Road was in great shape. My wife and I usually ride this route several times a year as part of a loop from Rogers via Hwy 12 to Hwy 127 to Hwy 23 to Eureka Springs, then Hwy 62 back to Rogers. This route is really two segments. The 16 miles from Rogers to Gateway, which isn't much of a motorcycle road (maybe a 2 or a 3 rating), and the 17 miles from Gateway to Eureka, which is fun and scenic (a 5). About 8 miles from Rogers is an opportunity for a side excursion through the Pea Ridge Military Park (Civil War site). You can spend an hour or so on the self-guided drive. (Since they re-routed Hwy 62, the park is no longer right off the road, but is off the old Hwy 62). Nice scenery, especially with late October/early November fall colors. Take time to walk down to the East Overlook. Stop in Garfield at the Shortstop for a VERY large ice cream cone. If you get anything larger than the Small, ask for a cup to go with it! About 3 miles past Gateway is a Candy Shop. Worth the stop if you like sweets and didn't fill up on ice cream in Garfield. The road from Gateway to Eureka is really why you ride. Curves, switchbacks, hills, views. Places where you can drag you pegs. Also a dangerous section. Seems like every year I hear a biker made his last ride on this stretch, so ride safe.

Rode US 62 from Eureka Springs to Gateway on one day, and from Rogers to Gateway a couple of days later during the 2021 Riding the Ozarks HOG Rally. Definitely agree with the poster that the Eureka Springs to Gateway part is way more fun and challenging.

4 lane highway no scenery until gateway then becomes somewhat curved. traffic from gateway to eureka springs is typically heavy and will ruin the only decent part of the ride. brother from kansas actually said during a quick break "i wouldn’t come back to ar if this is all there was".

NW Arkansas has some of the best rides we have seen. Missouri has some good ones but they are not a helmet free state so we try to stay out of there.

A very nice ride. The western end starts out fairly average, then quickly gets into the curves. The really curvy section is the eastern half coming into Eureka Springs. Seriously, some of these curves are borderline switchbacks and can catch you off guard.

The eastern half of this route (from Gateway to Eureka Springs) is always the first thing we see when we come to AR (and the last we see when we leave!). We can feel the stress melt away. The road is really nice. Not too challenging, but there are a few pretty tight turns as you near ES. The farther east you get, the more you start to see the big bluffs & valleys.

Yet another awesome road courtesy of Arkansas. Lots of fun curves and twists in this route to keep you entertained, although sometimes the traffic can get a little heavy since it is the best and most efficient way to get through the area and therefore is traveled heavily. Watch out for "tar snakes" as you get into the curvier parts. The state came through and patched the cracks, not realizing how slippery that makes it for us. There are parts on fairly sharp curves where the bike will shake around underneath you because it is impossible to miss the tar. Not a problem for experienced riders, but just be aware of it.

A rude awakening for us flatlanders. Roadway was in good condition, but steeper grades and sharper curves than we were initially prepared for. Took a bit of adjustment except for the car/truck traffic this is a nice ride, but pay attention. Believe the posted speed limits for curves, which generally run out of one and into the next. Probably a bit more difficult than the "Pig Trail". Not a good run for inexperienced riders, in my opinion. We ran it three times in two days, once the initial surprise wore off. Between this and AR23 (the Pig Trail) the wife was more pleased with completing this ride.

I do need to clarify my first review. I was focused on that part of 62 between Gateway and Eureka Springs. Those parts of 62 leading to Gateway and then out of ES are great rides too. All things considered this is equal to almost any ride around Sturgis and the Hills. Rogers, ES, Berryville, Huntsville & Ozark have some of the nicest people you could ask to meet. We are planning to return.

Pavement was almost flawless. I picked the wrong time of year, and it rained on me the whole time. Even so, it didn't detract too much from the beautiful scenery, and between the sweepers and the cagers, I had plenty of time to take in the view. There's a few tight sections, but since this is a somewhat important highway, there is a fair amount of traffic. Odds are that you'll be stuck behind somebody before you ever really get to twist the wrist through them.
