We did the Highway 7 ride in April 2011. In the rain, the whole way and it was my wife's very first time to ever ride in the rain anywhere. She did great and accomplished it without any problems. Even during the rain the ride is awesome. Just beautiful and as always the Arkansas road quality was beyond belief. This is a great ride and obviously would be better when dry.

Hwy. 7 may be one of the most beautiful highways in America. Its got the scenery, twists and turns, and enough gas stops to keep you outta trouble. The area around Jasper, AR is my personal favorite.

Made reservations at Cliff House via internet, pictures were misleading. Was expecting something along the line of a mountain lodge, rooms were bare minimum, in need of repair. Restaurant was good, rooms were down steps and under restaurant, when restaurant closes you are totally on your own. View was spectacular if you have the corner room, since all other roms have really small window. Ride up mountain to Cliff House was breathtaking lots of twists and turns, heavy clouds enveloped route. Would eat there but not stay again. Booked 2 nights stayed only one, no refunds.

There are two distinct parts of this road. The northern route from Russellville to Harrison, and the southern route from Russellville to Hot Springs. The southern section goes through the Ouachita National Forest, while the northern section goes through the Ozark National Forest. While both are good roads (I've ridden them both several times), the northern section gets my vote for scenery and better road conditions. The great advantage of this road is that it's a thoroughfare for splitting off to other great Ozark roads. At Sand Gap (aka Pelsor) you can turn onto either 123 south or 16 east. A few miles north and you hit the turn for 123 north, and later 16 west. A little farther and you hit 374 east, a gorgeous 7 mile downhill which eventually intersects 123. You'll eventually come to Jasper (don't miss the Ozark Café) where you can either continue on AR-7 north, or take AR-74 either east to 123, or west to the Boxley Valley. For you out-of-staters, if you want a base of operations for great riding in Arkansas, make it Jasper.

Ridden it many times. Over the past month, 3 sections have been under construction on one lane because of heavy rains and shifts in asphalt. Still a great road and worth the stops

Just recently took a vacation with a friend on motorcycles, and decided to stay at the Cliff House Inn, cabins. We traveled to Harrison and ran 7 South to Jasper and on to the Inn. The roads offered many great views while riding and curves to keep you busy. The roads were in good condition and the weather we rode in was perfect for Sept,30th. Having this ride at the end of a full days ride, was amazing. Great views at the lookout just a couple miles North of the Cliff House Inn, as well as at the Cliff House Inn. Sun Rise, as well as sun set were sights that photos don't quite do justice. The entire route through the Hot Springs was a breathtaking ride, with elevation changes as well as curves.

I've ridden this several times. The northern most part of 7 is SPECTACULAR!! Get off the road and enjoy it! There's an abandon recreation park on the east side- possibly the one mentioned above? As you go south it's still very pleasant. The Hot Springs area is great too. My wife and I enjoy spending time there. Arkansas is UNDER RATED imho.

What a beautiful idea for a ride -- perfect in every aspect -- safe roads which are always a concern for the riders, plenty of beautiful spots where you can stop for a rest and admire the wonderful scenery before you, places where you can stop for eats and have a little chat with the people around -- what more can you ask for relaxation and fun -- that seems to be what Highway 7 has to offer anyone who wants to explore the mystery of Arkansas!!Vehicle Wrap

I loved this ride for three reasons. 1) The diversity of the roadways. There are some really remote areas with very little traffic, and other sections that are more populated. 2) In general, the quality of the road surfaces was very good. I live in the upper Midwest where or roads are the normal, but these roads are in great condition overall and had good surfaces for high traction if you were leaning into the corners aggressively. 3) Curves curves and more curves. Just not many straight lines, it was a constant slow dance from one curve to the next. Made for a lovely drive.

Rode this during the 2021 Riding the Ozarks HOG Rally. A really great ride, although I did it on a day when it had rained hard the previous night, and we got more rain in the afternoon. I turned onto Hwy 7 at Dover and rode northbound, took a diversion onto the Dragon (HW 123) then cut back from Mt. Judah to the Cliff Inn on Hwy 7 for lunch (highly recommended, both for the food and the views of the Arkansas Grand Canyon). From the Cliff Inn north to Harrison, there was off and on light rain, which made the twisties a bit less enjoyable, but challenging. I'll definitely ride it again, hopefully sometime when there's dry and warmer conditions.

Be sure to stop and enjoy the view from Arkansas Grand Canyon. Time it right and low laying cloud only add to the fun.

I rode this route during GWRRA Wing Ding 42 June 2021. This route has some amazing scenery. I rated the route a 3 because I ride a lot of roads in West Virginia that are a lot more twisty and curvy than the roads in Arkansas.

We rode in late October 2021 and weather was great. Traffic was medium but not too bad. Be sure to plan your bathroom breaks. Leaves were starting to change but still needed a couple weeks. We averaged about 400 miles each day. It is worth the trip to see it.

Nice scenic route that anyone can ride. Not difficult at all. Road quality in is good and I did this ride on the Saturday of 2019 Memorial Day Weekend and expected to see waaaay more bikes than I did. Traffic as a whole was pretty light but I was shocked with the minimal amount of motorcycles on the road.

I would come back to the area and do this ride again. Weather was spectacular so I could enjoy the views and the ride and not worry about anything else.

Road itself is great, though traffic can make it a drag. It has a bunch of really wide sweepers that are a lot of fun, as well as some rather beautiful vistas at the northern part of the run.
