Rode in the end of October 2021. Weather was 60's during the day, excellent riding weather. Leaves were just starting to change.

It's rated the best ride in Arkansas, I don't know that I agree, but it is very good overall.

While I've been on better rides as to scenery or road, this remains one of my favorite rides. I've been up and down it many times and it never loses it's charm. Be sure to take the side trip to Oark if you have the time.

I feel its overrated and way over ridden. Many better riding roads all around the area. It does have a couple of switchbacks and a great pull off viewing area.

Not what I expected but still pretty good. Road construction for a few miles was really bad.

My wife and I rode this today. Absolutely beautiful ride! Road itself was in great condition, lots of twists and turns. The only downside was that most of the stops along the route were closed. We are staying in Eureka Springs, and our shuttle driver told us that most restaurants are only open on the weekends, because of the scarcity of workers and supplies.

Rode the Pig Trail during the 2021 Riding the Ozarks HOG Rally. A really fun ride, even getting stuck behind a tractor-trailer for about half of it. Will definitely ride it again.
This route is now the Arkansas route for the Harley Owners Group "50 Rides, One Nation" lifetime challenge, which requires a photo at the National Forest Service sign at the southern end of the route. The shoulder is barely wide enough to safely park a heavyweight cruiser or touring bike. Given the number of people that stop at that sign daily, you'd think that they spend the money for a larger parking area to make it safer.

Yes, everyone loves the Pig Trail, but unfortunately the asphalt is no longer in great shape. If you want to extend this ride (with good asphalt), continue north past Huntsville through Eureka Springs and on up to the intersection of highway-86 in Missouri. This section isn't quite as tight, but is a good mix of sweepers and twisties, which are just the right angle to allow you to keep your speed through the curves (great for larger cruisers).

The pig Has had and is having a face lift on the road. This will improve the quality of the ride. I have rode the pig for 18 years and do guide rides on it, and the Dragon, but I have to say the pig has my heart. A word of caution, watch out for snakes crossing the road in the hot season. You might not think this is a problem but you lean into a turn and hit a lg. rat snake, you will change your mind. Just take your time and enjoy what this wonderful scenic ride has to offer, and please remember, "Dress for the slide, not the ride". GOD Bless(:>

Beautiful Road from a scenic viewpoint. Road is a 5 star if your riding a cruiser or touring bike. It's a first gear road on a sport bike. The road surface circa fall 2016 is sketchy in a few places. There are far better roads fir a sport bike.
Occasionally a very slow truck will create a major very slow moving backup which is hell on a clutch.
Anyway a wonderful tight and interesting road for the cruiser/touring rider

One of Arkansas' best rides! Scenic Highway 7, and 341 (Push Mountain Road) are also excellent rides through the Ozark and Boston Mountains!

17 JULY 2016 *** HEADS UP FOLKS*** SOUTH END HAS A LONG SECTION THAT IS TOTALLY ABSOLUTLY OVER RUN WITH TAR SNAKES. One of the two 10mph hairpins had a 3-4 foot patch of loose gravel down in the bottom. Its a great ride, not as challenging as Pikes Peak, (the only ride I can compare it with) but a very close second in my book.

The Pig Trail is a fantastic ride. About 82 miles with a nice stopping place at each end and one in the middle. Much of the road is canopied with trees and there are a couple of scenic overlooks. Stay in Eureka Springs and every road in every direction is a great ride!

Rode the Arkansas dragon, Highway 7 scenic Byway and the pig trail all in 1 day. The Dragon was an incredibly technical ride, The Pig trail was just plain fun, fun, FUN. I flat out hauled butt the entire way (except where the switchbacks are). Im on a 1400cc sport touring monster with full bags and just loved the fast flip flop ride for 77 miles...I loved it.

We did the Pig Trail ride during the 2010 Bikes, Blues and BBQ rally in Fayetteville. Great ride, could be longer although we did the Pig Trail then across 40 and then north on old 71 back into Fayetteville. Really nice ride all together. Definitely one not to miss.

Great ride but not the best roads by far.... This is a long ride so, the scenery changes quite a bit along the route. Plenty to see along the way and lots of small towns to poke around in.

Great Place for a road trip. From Dallas we took of to Hot Springs, stayed over night and the next day we did the Pig Trial ride. Beautiful scenery, lots of curves and hardly any traffic. Highly recommend it.

A beautiful road. My only complaint was the asphalt wasn't in that great of shape (in the past). However, they've completed resurfacing, and it's now great!

Ridden it many times. I live in Arkansas! Road has suffered some washouts the past few years. Highway department has done a decent job of fixing them quickly. I personally like a few roads in the state as well or maybe a little better, but this is a good one!

Last rode 5/30/2020 (Saturday, noon)
Road is in good condition. (If you are headed towards Fayetteville there is a dangerous section of buckled road on Hwy16)
Curves, hairpins, elevation changes, scenery. Great fall colors. This road has it all except amenities. I live close, so ride this road several times every year. Always busy on the weekends, so ride during the week if you can. And as with all curvy roads, watch for the driver that drifts into your lane.
