Not particularly scenic. Not insanely twisty. Just a good, solid, fun road. It's in pretty good shape, too. Some mild wash out from people's driveways, but this was during a pretty rainy time in NC. Mind the small residential areas, but to be honest, the road is twisty enough that you're not going to really be hoofing it down there.
Fun road all around, IMO.
