If you'd like more hills, curves, woods and lakes, heading N on Cty 21out of DL, turn E at Richwood onto Cty 34. Take that to the T intersection where it turns into Cty 158. Proceed N on 158 to the Y intersection of Ctys 158, 39 & 144. Turn right (N) on 144, which will take you to MN Hwy 113. Going E on 113 will take you to MN Hwy 71, where you can go north to Itasca State Park or south to Park Rapids. I would rate this detour off Cty 21 another point or 2 on the scale. I also highly recommend a little restaurant & bar called Foxy's, a few miles north of Park Rapids and a mile or so off Hwy 71 to the east on Cty Rd 89! Great burgers as well as outside seating!
