I give this road a 3.5 actually, it's front and rear loaded, the middle of this ride is decent enough but the most fun to be had is west of 250 and east of New Martinsville. The pavement is good and it doesn't drop down to boring even in the middle, and is thus a good solid ride or connector road for your route loops that you would try.
Update from West Virginia’s Road Ranger (July 31st, 2020): As of June 2020 this road is in fair to good condition from 250 to Barker Run Road. Beyond that I can’t say. As usual, check out www.wv511.org for any construction that may be around.
