US 60 - Socorro to Springerville - By Dan Erhard

I gave it a 3, only because it can't compare with nearby outstanding rides like the Coronado. But still a very nice route, especially as a way to avoid I 40. This road used to be in fantastic condition, but lately its gotten humpy, which makes zinging it at 100 mph a bit risky. In its day though, it was flat, empty, and generally free of state cops. Speed limit slow, but mostly ignored by the traffic. Still a very nice fun cut if you are headed towards Flagstaff or Vegas. Good overnight spot in Show Low, where some newer hotels exist. Once in Arizona, don't exceed the speed limit by 1 mph.
