Mountain Meander - Upper Slice of Route 28 - By Guest

I agree with other comments, this is a GREAT ride! However, this description above is not quite accurate. The waterfalls are all south of Franklin on the way to Highlands. That part of Hwy 28 is not highlighted. From Franklin north to Hwy 74 is just excellent, with very little traffic and lots of twisties. Ride the whole stretch from Hwy 74 south to Highlands and continue on Hwy 64 to Brevard if you want more ammenities. Of course Franklin makes a great homebase for hitting all the local roads, with plenty of motels and food.
