Basically did this ride last summer. Was in Narragansett for a wedding and made a pit stop in stonington,CT to see a friend on my way back to Westborough,MA
49 was my favorite part of the route. Very nice scenery on a summer day.
Also RT 1 in RI is a pretty nice ride. Although it has a few lights closer to westerly area plenty of other twisty roads to head north on.
