Agree with the author on the ride. Just don't miss out on other great roads that intersect this one. Just like Jasper is a hub for great roads in the central Ozarks, the Allison/Sylamore area (intersection of highways-5, 9, &14) is a hub for roads in the eastern Ozarks. At this intersection you can go east on AR-9, north on AR-5, west on AR-14, or 5 miles south to Mountain View, where those three highways split once again. At Mountain View, the best road for twisties is to continue on AR-9 south to Clinton.
