Written Directions

Start in Colfax, WashingtonHead north on Main St Slight left at the bridge onto W Walla Walla Hwy Turn left onto Hwy 26 Turn right onto Green Hollow Rd, and enjoy! Turn right onto Hwy 23 At Steptoe, WA cross Hwy 195 and take a slight right onto Scholz Rd Merge left onto Hume Rd Outside Oakesdale, WA, take a sharp right onto Hwy 27 Continue through Garfield and Palouse, WA toward Pullman In 12 miles, look for signs for Kamiak Butte County Park Turn Right onto Clear Creek Road, and keep right. Turn left onto Hwy 272 Arrive back in Colfax, WA Google Maps Link: https://goo.gl/fXEVXn

Scenery

Rolling hills, farmland, and some of the tastiest less-traveled curvy roads of the Palouse region of Washington State!

Drive Enjoyment

The roads are excellent, save a portion of the Hume Road near Oakesdale, which can be somewhat bumpy depending on time of year. Also, be aware of farm implements and wheat chaff in the late summer.

Tourism Opportunities

Most of these roads are off the beaten path, but there are services scattered in the towns along the way. Most have restrooms, some have stores, all have friendly folks who will be happy to help in a pinch!
