Written Directions

TN360 runs from Tellico Plains to Vonore TN. There are other routes that connect these two places, but TN360 is the best for motorcycles!

Scenery

The route runs through valleys adjacent to the Nantahala National Forest. Terrain is relatively level, with farm fields along one side and forest along the other. You will cross the Little Tennessee River a couple of times. Minimal traffic, so it's a great place to twist the wrist. Just be aware deer in the woods may be crossing to feed in the fields.

Drive Enjoyment

Smooth pavement and sweepers with long line of sight. Nothing technical like the Dragon or Skyway, just a nice run through the valley. The are a few driveways, so be alert for the occasional slow farm tractor.

Tourism Opportunities

No amenities on the 24 mile route. At the south end in Tellico Plains there is a visitor center with two free museums. The museums have old phone company equipment, guns, and local history items. You can walk through both buildings in about one hour, They also sell apparel and memorabilia that highlights motorcycle roads in the area,

Rode after finishing the Cherohala Skyway and headed up to US-129 H-D then to the entrance of the Foothills Parkway during my Labor Day Weekend 2020 ride.

Beautiful scenery. Start at 800 ft and go up to the tops of the mountains. Waterfalls next to the road. It's just breathtaking. Lots of overlooks so you can take photos of your bike with gorgeous scenery in the background. You have to ride it!
