Could maybe give this a 4 instead of a 5 because it is so dangerous. Plenty of hairpins. Twisties are awesome. But a lot of newbies over estimate and cross the double yellow. Lots of rocks. Pavement is rough in a few places. LEO's like to travel it was well. But as far as fun factor it's awesome. There are a few pull outs, but not enough. Some great views. Stop at TWO (two wheels only) for lunch (if they are open). Not only the best riding in Georgia, but some of the best of all the Appalachian mountain riding (including the Dragon!)

Rode it counterclockwise and avoided a lot of the other riders who were going clockwise. Enjoyable short trip out of Atlanta

Fantastic ride. Did the loop only and not the tail they show. Does not get the credit it should.

Beautiful ride and lots of options when you get to the end. Any direction you go is filled with great elevation changes and twists!

This is my "quick" go-to route Saturday or Sunday morning coming from North Atlanta. North on US19 to Suches, then its all fun. Blood mountain is infamous and Wolf Pens Gap (180) is always exhilarating with its hairpin turns and decreasing radius turns. You must stay on your toes! It mellows out near the end as you'll notice as your surroundings become more residential.

We hiked around Lake Winfield Scott and then followed a bike race for most of the route. Spectacular. Road was in great shape.

This is one of our favorite roads to ride when we visit the area. Lots of twists and turns that makes it for a great ride both on 2 wheels and 3.

Took my Low Rider S on this route today from Marietta, turned out to be a decent half day trip. The roads more than lived up to its expectations as far as views and corners. Others have recommended this route for beginners, but I could see how that could be bad advice for those not yet very comfortable with their bikes or riding altogether. This is an amazing ride, but the endless groups of cars driving high rates of speed and not maintaining their lanes, even in blind corners, adds an element of uncontrollable danger that greatly detracts from being able to enjoy the ride and views. The roadside is littered with scraps of bumpers and memorial sites as a constant reminder of the danger, not sure how much I would recommend this ride to others.

If you ride a lot of roads in the area, the "Loop" will be achieved naturally. Prepare to use your mirrors A LOT on Wolf Pen Gap Rd. and wave the thrill seekers around (in your lane!).

Great ride very close to Atlanta. Love the ability to pass on Hwy 19 and it is nice road with banked turns- quite fast. Wolf Pen Gap is more of a 2nd gear road, narrow with lots of twists and turns.

Great ride going up the mountain. I took 400 North and then meandered up to Vogel. The GA Dragon was excellent and clear weather made for a smooth ride. Glad to be so close to this feature.

Rode this right after a hurricane blew through. We also rode it early in the morning. A lot of sticks, limbs and leaves in the road and the sun was in our eyes. Recommend riding more in the middle of the day. I would have probably given it a 5 on a different day at a different time
