Written Directions

Start in Bastrop and take 304 South. Turn on to FM 2571 and enjoy a long stretch of tree lined country lanes until you reach Smithville. Enjoy a great espresso and browse the eclectic collection of goods at the general store.

Scenery

The route crosses Cedar Creek and winds past the Colorado River. Smooth country lanes and gentle curves pass through old growth tunnels of trees and farm plots. Smithville has a cute historic main street.

Drive Enjoyment

Mild sweeping curves and nicely maintained pavement.
