Written Directions

As you leave Brownwood, head south on 84 to Zephyr, Turn left on FM 590 and head toward Comanche. Turn North on Hwy 16 and head toward Deleon.Turn left on FM 587 and head toward Cross Plains. At Cross Plains, turn left on Hwy 279 and veer right on FM 206 just south of town. Stay on FM 206 , then turn left on FM 585 and stay on it until you reach Hwy 84. Turn on Hwy 84 and head back toward Brownwood.

Scenery

This route cover everything from cultivated fields to raw ranch land with very little traffic. Once you head from Zephyr towards Comanche and beyond, the scenery is fantastic. Nothing but wide open country. Great therapy ride!!

Drive Enjoyment

This route has several sweeping curves but not many tight twisties. The FM roads are typical FM roads, the pavement is smooth with very little shoulder, if any but the Highways are nice and wide.

Tourism Opportunities

All of the small towns have stop and go's and great little restaurants.
